Logistics Market Prepared For Dynamic Demand

The Bucharest logistics market continues to develop and it is ready to meet the dynamic demand caused by commodity inflow following ourt country"s accession to the EU. According to DTZ Echinox specialists, by the end of this year will be delivered over 250.000 sqm of modern storage spaces, in the form of logistisc parks.

The western area of the capital - the Bucharest-Pitesti highway - became a logistics symbol, as several projects are being developed in the area, due to easy access towards the central and western parts of the country, according to DTZ specialists.

Logistics parks will also be built in other cities with high economic potential, such as Timisoara, Arad, Oradea, Constanta and Brasov. Specialists estimate that in 2007 and the following years more regions of the country to benefit from A class logistics projects.

Average rent for surfaces between 5.000 and 10.000 sqm is 4-4.5 EUR/sqm. The yield of industrial and logistics spaces has been on a descending trend for the past three years and in 2007 this trend will maintain at 7-8%, according to DTZ.
