Construction supplies manufacturer Prefab Bucharest reported a net profit of 4.68 million RON in the first half of 2007, up 2.7 from 1.75 million RON in the same period last year, according to a company press release.The company posted a turnover of 47.6 million RON (15.2 million EUR) in the first six months, recording a 14.3% increase from 41.64 million RON in the corresponding period of 2006.
Prefab Bucharest ended 2006 with a turnover of 91.4 million RON, recording a 23% rise from 74.3 million RON in the previous year. Last year, the company"s net profit dropped 37% yoy to 7.1 million RON.
Prefab Bucharest has a share capital of 6.38 million RON, divided into 12.76 million shares with a face value of 0.50 RON. The majority shareholder is Romerica International, controled by businessman Marian Milut, with 75.68% in the company, followed by SIF Muntenia with 12.41%. Prefab Bucharest is listed on Tier 1 of Rasdaq as PREH. The company has a market value of 292.24 million RON (92 million EUR).
