Several divisions of the Romanian Railways don"t expect to be profitable this year

Last week, the revenue and expense budgets of several of the divisions of the Romanian Railways Company were published in the Official Gazette. Most of them expect to make no profit this year and have also significantly cut back on their investment budgets.

The Company for the Maintenance and Repairs of Locomotives and Equipment CFR ILRU SA expects revenues of 133,765,000 lei and a gross profit of 33,000 lei. Budgeted investments amount to 1.7 million lei, and employee expenses will amount to 60.4 million lei. The company expects to have a number of 2,085 employees at the end of the year.

The Company for the Maintenance of Locomotives CFR SCRL Braşov SA expects total revenues of 74.75 million lei and a profit of 0 for 2010. Its investments will amount to 74,630 lei. The salary expenses will amount to 52.6 million lei, and the number of employees for 2010 is 2,255.

The Company for the sale of Travel Passes Voiaj CFR SA has set a budget 15.115 million lei and a gross profit of 0. Its scheduled investments will amount to 286.000 lei. The salary expenses will amount to 8.7 million lei, and the company expects to have 374 employees in 2010.

Întreţinere Mecanizată SA (Mechanized Maintenance) expects revenues of 66.5 million lei, and a gross profit of 0. It has budgeted investments of 1 million lei, and 33.8 million lei in salary expenses. The company expects a number of 1,376 employees in 2010.

The Maritime and Coastal Transportation Company CFR Ferry-Boat has budgeted a revenue of 784,36 thousands of lei and losses of 4.8 million lei. The company will have 93 employees this year, and salary expenses will amount to 2.28 million lei.

Informatică Feroviară SA has budgeted 38.5 million in revenue and a gross profit of 763.92 thousand lei. Its investment budget for this year is 8.5 million lei, and its salary expenses are 14.4 million lei. The company expects to have 380 employees at the end of the year.
