The Romanian agriculture has a 60-80% growth potential for the next three or four years, whereas the expectable profitability increase is higher even than that of the real estate industry, according to Agricover CEO Robert Arsene. European financing, modern equipment and quality technologies are likely to drive a significant increase in farming output. The European Commission budget for 2007 - 2013 includes over 11 billion EUR for Romania"s agriculture and rural development.
Agricover, a leading player on the Romanian farming market, has implemented a unique business model, AgriManagement Integrat (AMI), offering integrated solutions for farming, farming management and the processing industries. AMI can sustain about 4,000 farms of an average of 300 hectares each. Agricover concluded last year with 226 million RON in turnover and some 10 million RON in profit.
