EnglishGebrüder Weiss, the largest private transport company in Austria, has acquired a plot of 70,000 sq m facing the A1 Highway (Bucuresti-Pitesti), with good exposure and TIR access. Thus, the company has made an important step in developing its business not only Romania, but also strenghtening its presence in CEE region.
"The first phase, of 12,000 sq m warehouse and the land transaction represent a 10 million EUR investment. The Km 23 area is growing at a fast pace in the logistic and large production fields, with other well-known companies already developing facilities in this region, very effectively sustained by the landlords, Kassianos Construct playing an important role in the area", asserts Ionut Ciocan, Consultant within the Industrial Department of DTZ Echinox. According to DTZ Echinox, this is one of the largest land transactions on the industrial market this year. DTZ is a leading global real estate adviser with over 12,000 staff operating across 160 cities in 45 countries.
Gebrüder Weiss Holding AG is Austria"s largest family-owned transport and logistics service provider. The company is present in Romania since 2001.
