Pizza Hut Restaurants in Romania posted a 5 million EUR turnover at the end of the first half of the year, up by nearly 27% from the corresponding period of 2007. The increase is mainly due to the opening of two new restaurants, a press release indicates. The forecast for the entire year points to some 10 million EUR in turnover. American Restaurant System, the company that holds the Pizza Hut franchise for Romania, currently operates 13 Pizza Hut restaurants, of which 5 in Bucharest, 2 in Constanta, 2 in Cluj and 1 in each of Ramnicu Valcea, Timisoara, Iasi and Bacau. The company is planning to open the 14th restaurant in the Liberty Mall by the year-end.
