Plastic factory Romcab - Targu Mures (RASDAQ:MCAB) posted 1.54 million RON (458,900 EUR) in net profit for the first 9 months of 2007, up 5.2x year-on-year following the sale of a number of assets. For the same interval, the company posted a turnover of 37.1 million RON (11.05 million EUR), up by 4.2% y/y from 35.6 million RON. The net profit for the next three quarters of 2006 was 300,000 RON.
Romcab has a share capital of 14 million RON (4.06 million EUR) divided into 5.6 million shares with a face value of 2.5 RON. The majority shareholder is Sadalbari SRL with over 75%. Morgan Stanley & Co. International Ltd. holds 10%, whereas MEI Roemenie & Bulgarije Fonds NV has 5%.
