The Government has approved the fields of university studies of bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, as well as specializations and study programs for the next academic year. The announcement was made by the Minister of Education and Research, Daniel David.
• Unaccredited programs, outside the law
The Minister emphasized that only the programs included in the Government decisions are accredited and can be followed legally. "Beyond the technical aspect, it is important that students, future students, parents and society know that what is not in these Government decisions does not exist from a legal point of view. Do not follow programs other than those approved, if you want a recognized university education," Daniel David warned.
Among the new undergraduate programs are specializations adapted to current technological realities: computer security and data science, technologies and systems for intelligent mobility, autonomous systems.
• Avant-garde master's degrees: artificial intelligence and sustainable recycling
For the first time, Romania is introducing master's degree programs such as "Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries" and "Sustainable Technologies for Recycling Metallic Materials". "These programs are anchored in what we call the fourth industrial revolution. It is an important step in aligning Romanian higher education with the needs of the economy and society of the future", explained the Minister of Education. Adapting study programs to the realities of the labor market is a necessity that can no longer be ignored.
