The Competition Council has announced they had no objections to the economic concentration resulting from the acquisition of American Power Conversion Corporation by Schneider Electric SA. The Council believes that the deal will have no detrimental effect on free competition on the respective market. Schneider is specialized in the production and sales of electric distribution and industrial automation products and systems. One of its subsidiaries, MGE UPS produces systems for uninterruptible power supplies. American Power Conversion Corporation produces power supply solutions for both consumers and industrial customers.
