Bere Azuga Majority Shareholder To Sell Up To 20%

Valerii Moraru, the main shareholder in brewer Bere Azuga (RASDAQ:BEGY), will sell up to 20% in the company in order to improve its floatation pending a share capital increase by 3.5 million EUR. Moraru currently holds 72.38% in the company, including 20.02% via Rombas Trans International, which he controls entirely. Moraru will first wait for a reassessment of the company"s land until October 25th and then sell part of his shares.

Nine months thorough the year, Bere Azuga reported 7.6 million EUR in turnover, up from 5.6 million EUR in the entire year 2006. Estimates for this year point to 10 million EUR in turnover and 500,000 EUR in profit. Last year"s production of 124,000 hectoliters is slated to increase to 200,000 hl this year. The company has made investments of 3.5 million EUR since September 2006 and is planning to invest 8 million EUR in 2008 and 8.5 million EUR in 2009 and 2010. Interestingly, the company exports to the US, Spain and Italy.
