Carpet retailer Biokarpet has seen a significant increase in sales in the past two years. The company diversified its product range and consolidated its distribution and franchise network. The carpets are manufactured exclusively at the Biokarpet factory in Larissa, Greece.
Biokarpet has the largest carpet show-room in our country, with over 2000 products and a retail surface of approximately 800 square meters, owned by the Greek company. Biokarpet ended 2006 with a turnover of 1.1 million EUR. For this year, the company expects to double its turnover, according to General Manager Elena Stoican.
Biokarpet S.A. is the biggest Greek manufacturer of machine made carpets, woolen blankets and throws and traditional Greek rug "the Flokati". The group exports its products to more than 30 countries and is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange. Biokarpet Group reported net sales of 55.8 million EUR in the first six months of 2006.
