Cristian Sima, the chairman of brokerage firm "WBS Romania", is looking to sell 10,000 ordinary shares of the Bucharest Stock Exchange for 27 lei/share, according to an announcement posted on Friday on the site of the BSE. This price would put the estimated worth of the Bucharest Stock Exchange at 207 million lei (EUR 52 million).
The price that Cristian Sima is asking for is the lowest on the market, almost 43% below the price of 47/share that brokerage firm "Dorinvest" was asking for the 7,000 shares it put on sale in May, and 40% below the price received by "Trend" Bacău in exchange for the 5,000 shares it sold.
This sale offer comes as "WBS" Cristian Sima is planning a merger between his company and "Transilvania Capital", which the shareholders of "WBS" will decide on at the Board meeting of July 9th.
The chairman of "WBS" stated that following the merger, the shareholders of "Transilvania Capital" will receive shares in "WBS", as well as cash.
