Fabrica de Scule Rasnov (Rasnov Tool Factory, RASDAQ:FACY) posted losses of 523,800 RON at the end of H1, down from a profit of 24,400 RON in the corresponding period of 2006, because of interests and variations in the exchange rate. The turnover totaled 6.8 million RON (2.17 million EUR), down by 10.4% y/y. The company also reported expenses of 821,600 RON, up 4.3x compared to 2006:H1.
As sales decreased, production stocks increased 11.2% to 3.46 million RON, compared to 3.11 million RON at the beginning of the year. The company manufactures small tools and has a share capital of 8.69 million RON (2.6 million EUR) divided into 3.47 million shares with a face value of 2.5 RON The majority shareholder is Sprinter 2000 SA with 90.36%, followed by the State Assets Recovery Authority with 1.3%.
