This month, Iproeb Bistriţa has recalled the 63 employees it had sent home due to technical unemployment, after receiving several orders. The company"s manager, Ioan Chiciudean, yesterday said that for the moment, the company has work, because its orders usually come " on short notice", but it is possible that starting next week, once orders get placed, its workers will go back on technical unemployment.
In July, 63 employees of Iproeb Bistriţa were sent on technical unemployment due to lack of orders. The employees in question received 75% of their monthly wage, according to the collective labor contract. Also, in June, 59 employees were put in a similar situation.
The line of business of Iproeb Bistriţa includes the manufacturing and distribution of aluminum, steel cored aluminum and galvanized steel, traction cables, aluminum and copper coated in PVC, rubber and polyethylene, electrical insulation materials, automation equipment and various electrical equipment.
According to the latest reports, Electromontaj now owns 33.1% of Iproeb, following a takeover bid in which it succeeded in acquiring 2.3% of IPRU. Prior to performing the public takeover bid, Electromontaj only held 30.79% of the shares of Iproeb and was interested in acquiring 69.21% of its shares.
