Lena to Increase Investments in Romania

Portuguese construction group Lena, present on the Romanian market with Lena Construcoes, plans to increase its investments in Romania by developing private and public-private partnerships in fields such as regenerable energy, real estate and biotechnology.

For Lena, 2007 represents a year of business consolidation on the Romanian market. The company estimates turnover of 30 million EUR, a 30% increase from the previuos year.

Lena Group has been present on the Romanian market since 2004 with Lena Construcoes. The company employs more than 250 people and has a portfolio of approximately 40 works, including the enlargement of DN 1, the modernization of the Doamna Ghica Avenue and the construction of a superior bridge and the infrastructures of Baneasa.

The group has recently invested in basic equipment such as asphalt and concrete plants. Grupul a investit recent în echipamente de bază, printre care staţii de asfalt şi betoane. Besides the Romanian market, Lena Construções is also present on the Bulgarian, Algerian, Moroccan and Angolan markets.
