Orange Seeks To Double Data Service Revenue

Orange Romania has introduced 3G+ (HSDPA) services amid constant increase in the demand for data services. Commercial Manager Thierry Millet pointed out that the aim was to double revenues from data services. The company currently has 8.2 million customers, of whom 400,000 customers for data services.

The 3G+ service will become available on June 25th in 10 cities: Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Brasov, Craiova, Iasi, Oradea, Galati and Ploiesti. The company is planning to upgrade the network to 3.75G by the year-end, thus enabling users to enjoy download speeds of up to 7 Mbps. Subscriptions will start from 5 EUR/month
