Shareholders in plastics manufacturer Romcarbon Buzau approved an investment program totaling 41,95 million RON (12,5 million EUR), according to a report to Rasdaq. The investment program can be modified through a decision of the company"s Management Board. Shareholders in Romcarbon also approved a contribution to the share capital increase of Styropan SRL.
In 2006, Romcarbon Buzau posted 4,9 million RON in net profit, up 32 % year-on-year. The company concluded 2006 with a turnover of 45,6 million RON, up 8 % from 2005. The significant shareholders are Taiwan-based companies Living Plastic Industry (31%) and Unitai International Corp. (29,7%). Eastern Eagle Fund holds 22,4% in the company. Romcarbon shares are listed on the second tier of Rasdaq.
