Braşov company Ropharma saw its net profit increase 3.8 times YOY after the first nine months of the year, from 3,138 million to 12,187 million lei. The company"s turnover increased 29% during the reviewed period, from 203.56 million lei to 262.5 million lei.
The company has ongoing investments amounting to 2.557 million lei which will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2010.
According to a press release that the company sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, "In the first nine months of the year, sales in the company"s own drug stores amounted to 196.004 million lei, up 47% from 133.429 in the similar period of 2009".
The company claims that the factors which led to these financial results were the 15% growth of the retail pharma market, the increase in the volume and number of contracts with drug makers in the European Community and outside it, the focus products with a high profit margin, as well an increase in the weight of drugs manufactured by the company itself.
