Trefo - Galati has announced plans to invest 100,000 EUR in industrial machinery to be able to manufacture new metallurgical products demanded especially by construction companies. Technical Manager Doru Marinescu told BURSA that the company wanted to buy two pieces of machinery to produce zinc-plated wire netting, zinc-plated soft wire coils and plastic-coated wire.
"The wire netting machinery has a production capacity of approximately 650 tonnes per year, whereas the soft wire coils and plastic-coated wire machinery produces approximately 450 tonnes per year," said Trefo Galati Technical Manager Doru Marinescu. He added that the first piece of machinery had been commissioned early this month, enabling Trefo to already sell zinc-plated wire netting and zinc-plated soft wire coils. The second machinery, producing plastic-coated wire, is scheduled for delivery from Italy early next month.
Last year, Trefo also acquired a piece of machinery for producing welded hard wire netting with a capacity of some 2,000 per year. "Trefo SA is permanently improving technical capabilities and thus generating positive effects on the gross profit and the turnover. Our turnover increased from 85 million RON in 2007 to 192 million RON in 2008," Trefo General Manager Carman Parvan told BURSA. Trefo is a manufacturer of metallurgical products including nails, bolts, steel bars for concrete reinforcement, wire, netting and industrial chains.
