Shareholders in Antibiotice - Iasi will convene on April 26th to approve a motion to grant dividends of 0.02308 RON/share. Marcel Marcu of KD Capital Investment SA said he did not expect the pharmaceutical company to give any dividends.
"The dividend is small but it sends out a good signal about the future privatization," he said. In his opinion, the dividend payment could be interpreted positively by investment funds.
Market analysts comment that the dividend disbursement rate announced by Antibiotice (41.94%) is by 22% higher than in 2005 amid better performance, improved liquidity and increased support from the minority shareholders.
