A press release from Nicusor Paduraru M.P., Chairman of the Parliament"s Inquiry Committee on Nicolina S.A. - Iasi, announces that the Chamber of Deputies has set the deadline for the Committee"s final report on 27 October.
"The decision was made also due to the request of the Court of Audit to extend the deadline for their final report to 30 August 2009. The Court of Audit justified their request by the complexity of the analysis they needed to perform and the large volume of documentation filed in this case. Although the Parliament will be on recess, the Inquiry Committee on Nicolina S.A. will convene and work throughout this period," the press release indicates.
Nicolina S.A. stopped operations in April 2005, when the privatization contract was terminated and the majority share package held since 2002 by a consortium formed by the Employee Association and Mecanoexportimport returned to the State.
